Choir and Music
“The Church knew what the psalmist knew: Music praises God. Music is well or better able to praise him than the building of the church and all its decoration; it is the Church's greatest ornament.”

Music has the capacity to touch us profoundly and move us emotionally. It engages our feelings, our memories, and expresses what is in our hearts as well as on our minds. If there is one thing that defines Columbia Presbyterian, it is our commitment to music and our understanding of its important role in worship.
We enjoy traditional hymns most Sundays, but welcome special music throughout the year. Our choir master regularly enhances our worship with visiting violinists, trumpeters, harpists, drummers and special vocals. Join us in the fall for the traditional bagpipes at our Scottish heritage celebration of the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans. Check the church calendar and bulletins for details.
